Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Object to Audio mobile application ("the App") operated by Caura Futures, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), a non-profit corporation registered in the District of Columbia, USA.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
Object to Audio is a mobile application that links printed cards to audio files stored on your device. You may use the App for personal, educational, and commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
— Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations;
— Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App;
— Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
2. User-Provided Content
The App operates entirely on your device using files you provide, including images, audio files, and CSV databases. We do not access, store, or transmit any of your content. You retain full ownership of all content you use with the App.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you use with the App does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
3. Card Builder Tool
We provide a web-based Card Builder tool at objecttoaudio.app/tool/ to help you prepare card sets for use with the App. The Card Builder runs entirely in your browser. No files you upload to the Card Builder are transmitted to or stored on our servers.
4. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and related materials, is owned by Caura Futures, Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials.
5. Card Sets and Downloadable Content
We may offer card sets for download through our website. Unless otherwise stated, card sets are licensed for personal and commercial use. You may not redistribute or resell card sets without our prior written permission.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App and all related services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Caura Futures, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or related content in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Children
The App is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App functions entirely offline using locally stored files and collects no user data of any kind.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the District of Columbia.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
